Hi all,
My wife and I have started a new career after leaving our corporate pencil pushing jobs now that the kids are all grown up. Anyhow, we are struggling with our seach for a no noise fridge/freezer for our company truck. Had 2, 3.2 Fridigere's mounted on the top bunk but something internally rattles, hampering on our sleep time.
So, does anyone have a solid solution for a team truck which doesn't make any noise?
I've read a bunch of recommendations throughout the forum but none appear to approach a view on noise and it being a company truck. Please help, we are home only for 3 more days. Thank you in advance.

Have you looked at Engel?
25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
Yes...can't find any info about the noise level. Our last two attempts going down to slightest of bumps on the road is horrible. Rattle, rattle, rattle! We stay 3 months out, it's driving us nuts.

Either Engle or ARB. Both are very quiet and can be used as either a refrigerator or a freezer. I have two and use them like that. Been a few years now and no issues. You can find cheaper models, and more expensive ones but the two manufactures mentioned are at the best price point and not a peep out of them.

Do you use one as a freezer and the other as a fridge?

A few years ago,i went into my savings acct n splurged on a Truckfridge.Being OTR alot, for me,it was a wise investment.Since theres 2 of you-a small cooler might get old.I never heard it rattle or otherwise bother me.Bought it in kentucky-right off the floor 1200.00$.

I would do it in a heartbeat but company policy forbids attaching anything with screws or bolts.

About 25 years ago I bought a WAECO cooling box for the truck. This was in Germany and I still use the box today in my truck as an additional freezer beside my fridge.
WAECO was bought by Dometic and sells them under their name now. Check here:

The boxes are pretty expensive, but you will here no noise. It's a compressor technology, doesn't use much power. In Germany I had the truck parked for a few days and it didn't drain the batteries. (Here I have an APU and at home the truck is plugged in).
With the Cascadia I had the box sitting on the upper bunk secured with straps, now with the mid roof Volvo The box fits on the frame of the passenger seat.
Mine has about 1.35 cu ft. capacity. I've put some paper towels around the basket to eliminate a rattle while driving. Here are some pics:
Check Amazon for prices: https://www.google.com/#newwindow=1&safe=off&q=waeco+fridge+amazontscottme Thanks this.
