They are called Airtabs here, they are sold directly to the owner or whom ever and they are very nice people to talk to, been buying them for years.

They are not a super duper fix but if you want to keep things clean and have a little bit more stability during a normal run, then get them.

I also dont see how the eco flaps would save fuel. The tests they compare them with are with these old large clumsy flaps that surely create drags - but no one is using anymore. I feel a little bit the same with the v-spoilers (doing tests on old large truck trailers that transporters used 10 years back).. Anyhow, they do the same with trailer tails, but I would anyday chose v-spoilers over trailer tails.. Much much cheaper, easier to install and no maintenance)

I went to this Airtab page.. Looks the same as v-spoilers - but they don't have the panels or the reflective version. Seems odd to me they made them like this. Looks much harder and time consuming to fit.. Airtabs probably did that to save material (but they seem to cost the same as vspoilers).. Also vspoilers are made by 3M.. At least a brand that you know...

Most of this crap will only produce a return if you can get it real cheap and put it on a buttload of trucks.

I think you are right fargonaz, and probably why large fleets and OEM's have started to incorporate it..
On the other hand... I wasn't really thinking of return of investment in terms of fuel saving. I now found the vspoilers for 260 bucks, including delivery, and you mount it yourself in 20 minutes, no extra costs.. If it will bring stability to the ride by altering the airflow it's all worth it. Even if not measurable, improved stability will eventually save fuel.
I also believe in the eco-flaps, but find them a little costly. -
it takes more than 20 minutes unless you want it to look like a drunk lady's lipstick.
lilillill and Dale thompson Thank this. -
That's true, it takes about 4 hours from start to finish when it is done in the shop where my trucks are kept. Never said it was easy either. We tried to put a bunch together on a strip of plastic and that ended up in a disaster so it is better as individuals.
-
Nope, just 20 mins... See the link (that's what I meant about one of advantages Vspoilers has over these Artabs)..
Once you get the first panel put right, the rest will follow very easily and with the right distance (I read in a US dealer's review)
-
Yeah, exactly.. Why did artabs even seperate them from each other.. To save plastic??? and still they cost the same as the other spoilers

Seems more professional, the ones from 3M
