My trainer said the staff was messing with us... There are no hair tests. You will have to take a whizz quiz.
I am not surprised. My recruiter told me that they are aware of all the negative things said on this forum and a few others and to keep in mind that there are opportunities here regardless of negatives said and my pay is based upon how hard I want to work. My recruiter was very honest with me and a straight shooter and I appreciate that because in this industry, you don't find that too much. I don't have to go through a refresher like a lot of drivers who recently applied and I am going Lease Purchase because for me, it works. It's not about the money only, there are other factors which warrant it. So far, I am happy. I send my recruiter an email and she answers back within 20 minutes. I find this impressive and there has not been the oh I have to ask someone to find out. Its always an answer from knowledge and experience.
They are trying to rush me into my own truck. My trainer and I refused and I will go out for one more week after Xmas. I'm flatbed and they had me running FedEx runs for 2 weeks. I've only had one flatbed load...
Mostly freightliners. There are volvos and internationals. They are getting rid of manuals and soon they will all be automatic. There are some manuals here but kind of hard to get one. I have a new 2017 freightliner automatic. I like it but miss shifting sometimes.
