Why did they need the inside camera then??? Cell records would have cleared the driver...inside camera did nothing:)

The inside camera showed the driver awake and alert. Further it showed all evasive actions taken.

WM does not have any O/Os there are many outside carries that haul WM trailers and have O/Os leased to them..rates to the truck are not very good

You have never been to court on an accident then:( If it is shown in court, the other side's attorney will point out everything from sipping coffee to picking noses to paint the driver as a 20/20 killer truckdriver!

I'm not a fear monger.....that's to say I'm not afraid of the "gottcha" moment. Things are what they are, I've seen the camera help drivers that I work with and I'd much rather have evidence than speculation.

And no, I've never had an accident or incident fortunately, so the inside of the courtroom I have not seen.

I'm hoping it stays that way.

    Ooops Thanks this.

They need to prove their case "beyond all reasonable doubt", which isn't going to happen with unsubstantiated allegations. The prosecution needs to prove you weren't doing what you were supposed to, not the other way around. While the driver-facing camera MIGHT help prove you were doing as you should've been doing, it could also help to solidify THEIR case against you. Innocent until proven guilty. I have no problem with an outward facing camera showing the other vehicle caused the incident. I won't drive with a camera on me.

I dunno. I think having a driver facing camera angle when you rear end someone is a good thing. Think about it. Your front facing camera catches the idiot cutting in front of you, and the driver facing camera shows that you were awake and alert when it happened. Just saying.
