These are 2 quotes from another thread which say a lot.....Last edited: Jan 8, 2017

Wow, I read that thread. That was a few different guys having trouble with their motors. If that is pretty typical, then I would stay away. The thing is, you never know what to believe anymore. I'm sure I could easily dig up quotes from others saying Fitzgerald Gliders are the best thing since sliced bread. Who do you believe? I have even seen some info on Harrison gliders having engine troubles. Who knows?

If you read the @DeagonKennels quote then you will see that the ones having the motors break do state that the Detroit Remans have hardly any issues.
It is the inhouse work done by Fritzgerald that is the problem and the Fritzgerald warranty sucks everytime.

Hence the reason I stated a powered glider. Then manufacturer is on the hook for warranty.
There is also Hoover's and Kustom Truck that also do gliders.

Read this whole thread if you are still interested in Fitz gliders. Some guys have serious complaints, and it all centers around Fitz rebuilt motors. One big complaint is that they are putting aftermarket parts on a supposedly "OEM" spec rebuild.swaggerjacker and daf105paccar Thank this. -
Huh?
Please explain the advantages of a powered glider with no transmission or rear ends as opposed to a completely new truck.
I have never heard of anyone with that thought process.
Maybe if you had a wrecked truck that the only good thing left was the drive train. -
If you do not have a donor truck the warranty on the motor would be covered by the manufacturer, not Fitzgerald. The powered glider is a pre emissions motor.
You also have more issues with the operation of the motor than trans or rears.Ruthless Thanks this. -
Thats the way i went.
Powered glider. Truck came from factory with a detriot reman installed.
Rolled a set of 4 way locker meritor 40x rears and rtlo 18913 under it out of a
wreaked casscadia that only had 1500miles on it. Paint wasnt even burnt off the drums yet.
Trucks been great so far.Ruthless Thanks this. -
You said a factory powered glider in an earlier post.
Did you mean the engine "factory", and not the truck brand factory?
