    Hi,

I blew my engine in my 2009 Pete 388 with an isx871 550HP a few weeks ago and just got it back yesterday. I ended up putting an isx870 565HP in but it has a small turbo and only produces about 28 pounds of boost. My old engine's turbo produced about 38 pounds of boost. This new engine is deleted from the egr and reprogrammed (Stock it's only 500HP) and I was wondering if it would be possible to put the big turbo of an 871 on my 870. Has anyone done this before? Does it work?

    Thanks a lot.

Size of the turbo has nothing to do with boost pressures. Boost pressure is a function of the wastegate. If your making more (or even the same HP) at lower boost that's a good thing, I'd leave it.

Thank you. The thing I don't like about the smaller turbo is that there is more heat on the pyro. And there isn't the same amount of airflow. Is there anyway to change that?
