I believe that Freymiller does have the driver facing cameras, yes. One of the reasons why I turned them down. Otherwise, if you can deal with that; a good choice.

Ashley furniture doesn't have cams or recorders and no plans to have them. The company line at orientation is that hiring standards are strict and we hire only the best we don't need them. The safety record speaks for itself.
They encourage our own personal forward facing cams if you want one and most of us have them for our own protection.foggy, X-Country and PrimaryGal Thank this. -
Why would a company have voice recorders but not a driver-facing camera?
MidwestResident Thanks this. -
I have driven for two companies. Watkins Shepard and tsmt. Neither one had driver facing cameras or voice recorders.
X-Country Thanks this. -
Voice recorders?? They would hear a lot of bad singing!

Not to mention profanity as I vent my road rage. Disclaimer, I don't actually have "road rage", I'm just a vocal person with no filter.

My company doesn't require dashcams in either direction -- and the owners agree with the concept that the cab is the driver's house. Even with the units we own (we're mostly OO), the drivers are encouraged to custom out the cab as they please, drive with their pet, etc. We have no plans to require dashcams at all; but if we did anything, it would probably be similar to the above concept, where front-facing cameras are supported but not required. My thinking is anything we'd want to capture is to protect the driver and company property, but with experienced, qualified drivers, any problems that occur tend to be from external sources.MidwestResident and Bakari742 Thank this.

Driver facing cameras are, to quote the Waterboy's mom, "the debil".
How dare they and how dare ANY DRIVER CONSENT TO SUCH TREATMENT. Now, I'm a bit of a radical. I was "pissed off" when private industry was given "consent by the masses" to invade our private lives with urine analysis. We take this little every day thing for granted and accept it as par for the course. It's actually VERY INVASIVE INTO ONES PRIVACY AND PERSONAL LIVE. If you don't get this fact, well you drank the kool aid and liked it.
Now we come to to driver facing cameras. It's amazing that anybody would even begin to entertain the thought of working for any driving company that would even consider such a thing...at this point in time. Could it become to norm in the future because drivers just shrug and call it the price of being a driver? Look at piss tests and get back to me.
I do a lot of things sitting in that seat for 8 hours at a time, the least of which may be to pick that annoying nose glob out of my nostril. Stho sthorry if this pisses off the safety nazis. At some point, the freedom loving human in us has to rebell..ok, maybe not. One thing I know for a fact...driver facing cameras they have, driver for that company I won't be. Rather be dead or homeless...on second thought just dead.
