Hey,
I am a 27 yr old Owner Op. looking for a co-driver hopefully from the Louisville, Kentucky area or immediate surrounding states to accompany me in a 2016 Volvo VNL 670. I am leased on to Road Runner expedite and though I do exceptionally well as a solo, I'd like add another driver to my truck. On board there are E-logs, In-cab scanner for bills and other paperwork, Two beds, a fridge, Television, game system and laptop that anyone can use, as well as both a rand McNally gps and map. I have safety vests, goggles and glove for when needed as well as a behind the seat air hose and power converter with two plug outlets. I don't have an Apu as of yet(Will be getting one by summer), however I do have a bunk heater and will also be getting a grill guard for the front of the truck. I take good care of my equipment and like to get things fixed or serviced immediately should they arise. It's a Volvo 670 so you should prob do a bit of research on the superior spacious cab room available into these awesome trucks. Lol No, but it's not bad, my dad and I didn't have any problems and we're both pretty big guys. Unfortunately he decided to get off the road and not drive as he was tired of driving after so long.
Pay & Orientation:
Orientation would take place in Belleville, MI which I'm not sure if they arrange for you to get there or not, if not I would get you there. It's 2 days max.
You need at 8 months recent exp. or 1 yr altogether. With 8 months, I would still be able to take you if it's recent as I have the req'd exp and am a safe driver.
No major issues on your background report. No major accidents. Speeding tickets or that kind of thing. With speeding tickets it just can't be over so much over the speed limit. Which you know if you were or were not going dangerously fast.
Obviously no dui's or drug related things as the expedite side of things are operated out of an airport and there is a TSA background check which is paid for. And because
Pay:
I guarantee $1000-$1200/wk to start and will increase after 6 months.
I will give a $500 bonus at 30, 60 and 90 days. A total of $1500.
The company has some pretty good healthcare for IC's which I have all the info for and you should receive during orientation.
I am looking for someone that is a safe driver 1st and foremost. I don't mind if a person is somewhat anti-social, as I can be, but I can converse as well. I listen to all kinds of music and can sleep through pretty much anything. Also, I prefer someone looking for long-term employment, but if you want to give it 6 months to see if you like it, I am fine with that as expedited freight isn't for everyone. Also, have or at least be open to discussing the possibility of getting hazmat endorsements as that increases profitability for the truck which in turn increases your own profitability.
I can be reached directly at: 313-408-5887. Please text me with your intent and about yourself before calling as I don't answer for unknown numbers and also because I may be sleep or driving.
Thank you,
Michael G.
