... Someone in the office dropped the ball but if you choose to drive that truck YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE and pay the fines and have this on your record NOT the company

 

It doesn't matter how many times you tell drivers they have the power to say no, they just refuse to say no and think they can get away with it.

 

Anytime you have anything expire you get the fax number from the trkstp you're at,call your company and tell them to fax you a copy.As a driver you should know that.

 

For me Patty is not to get to the point that someone is sitting at a scale or a truck stop asking for it, but the owner/carrier gets their crap together and get it done ON TIME.

I know what it is, it is they don't have enough money to get the tags, it has to be that and it goes back to my complaining about marginal owners/carrier who hurt this industry.

At the same time, the driver is at fault for letting it happen, he needs to be responsible enough to stop and tell them NO, if they fire him, then he needs just to find another company to work for because chances are these guys won't be around for long.

 

I've been thru this a few times only the person didn't say it's been sent to upper management or any other BS they sent me a copy immediately.Companies are pretty good about keeping on top of all permits and stickers but sometimes they get busy and forget.I certainly wouldn't have done what the OP did,drive days on an expired registration.Drivers of today don't have a backbone to speak up.

 

This would be my thoughts, you are aware that the vehicle is not legal for operation and have publicly stated so on the internet. Imagine the consequences / liability if an accident were to occur.
