Hahaha...thanks for the laugh...
I'm in NO WAY DEMEANING truckers...
but...
Based on what I've seen (with my own two eyes)...If you are trully doing less than 2500/week take home as an O/O...maybe you doing it wrong
Also, Ive never met anyone who wants to make less money...so, if I can make a lil bit more, why not?
Finally, I can tell you did NOT read my post ATTENTIVELY (dont expect you to..LOL)...I said, I am looking to DIVERSIFY (which is a good thing). Existing non-trucking operation will still continue...its my cash-cow
Newbie truckers. Don't work for these companies. Heed my warning!

Speak for yourself @Midnightrider909 . Would you care to qualify your assumptions? Some would find that statement insulting. Unless, that was your main goal. smdhnax Thanks this.

If I could make as much in my hometown that I do out here I would certainly be doing that. Why would anybody spend weeks away from their family eating ####ty food and sleeping in a glorified closet if you didn't need to. This job is brutal. You basically work 70+ hours a week and get paid the same as if you had a good 40 hour week job at home.

I just can't wait for you to get your own truck and get out here and start working 70 plus hours a week doing your side hustle. Please keep us updatedTequilaSunrise Thanks this.

It wasn't Schneider. It was CR England. As soon as I let them know I didn't want to lease purchase , they treated me like a piece of sh@t. Dumped me in Laredo TX and asked to find my own way. I've been driving now for 12 years. I'm happy where i'm at now .

I said it plainly in the post. From reading this forum for YEARS, I've read many posts about negative experiences at these companies, take it howith you will.

I almost started driving for Stevens transport. I went to orientation at HCC in Houston TX but got a bad vibe. One classroom away was the training room for USA truck. All the guys in there were wearing white smocks. I asked the trainer why the white smocks? He said they were inmates from Harris County Jail! Connect the dots yourself. Lol!

I don't think that it's any kind of bashing newbies when these posts telling that these companies are horrible, the ones that are constantly being said to avoid are for a reason. Some of the mega/almost mega are better than others. Ultimately it's up to said driver/prospective driver to do what he/she chooses. If you don't want the advice/opinions then go there. The ones that get blasted are the worst of the worst. Good luck in your endeavors.
Loose Leaf, Cracker42101 and TequilaSunrise Thank this. -
I started with Warrner bc I lived in northern michigan and right out of driving school they was the only one who would hier me. There a good company to start with. After you get about 6mo experience. Go somewhere else bc they dont pay crap.
