The situation will worsen and then spread towards Armarillo and up to Indy plus Omaha. By Monday it's going to be awesome.

I think about Rolla MO at this time on 44. Any time it ices, that truckstop becomes a interesting problem to get into and out of then.

Also, beginning late Friday night and through Saturday, Gallup, NM, northern NM, and up into and across most of eastern range of Colorado can expect to see significant snowfall amounts, with isolated rapid accumulations at times.

Looks like as of Friday midday, the initial stages of the ice event are already ongoing down in Oklahoma with some snow and icing going on in places across the state

But don't confuse this preview event with the main event of Saturday/Sunday.

Glad I'm not anywhere near I-44/MO Friday afternoon and evening. Any amount of frozen precip on that road makes lots of people stupid.

Sleet and freezing rain scheduled to hit central Indiana around 1830 local time. Glad I'm off tonight, although I suspect they'll cancel our schedules anyway.

We delivered in PA this morning. We dropped down south, and going through KY, and Tennessee, to pick up I40 back into Oklahoma.
Glad we did that and going to miss all of that crap....at least until somewhere in Oklahoma.

Hopefully will be cleared up in the southern Ohio region by Monday since I'll have to drive about 250 miles to get to school that afternoon

Good night to stay in next to the fire place with a good whiskey or tequila, along with a good woman or dog, and stay off the roads.
