That would of been too easy,Remenber I'ts suppose to be tough. They need to try doing it while on the cell phone while you're on hold with dispatch trying to get another load, that would of been fun and realistic.

I know. And I'm about sick of that announcer. He does Ice Road truckers, Black Gold, and a lot of other shows. He tends to exaggerate and make everything seem a lot harder than it really is.
I may be talking out of my ### here, but I see NOTHING on the Ice Road show that looks so incredibly difficult that only a "select few" of the bravest of the brave could do.

The best part would be NO TRAFFIC!! http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Toughest_Jobs/video/episodes/index.shtml#vid=551461Last edited: Sep 6, 2008

I just watched the Gold Mining episode and Phil got kicked off and took offer from that trucking company in AK. I thought was pretty cool
-
my wife and i were yelling the whole time about that too!
OH AND WTF is with CHRIS not getting thrown off the show, huh? MAN that guy STINKS! -
thank you ... finally. wife and i ABSOLUTELY cannot stand this guy. he creates his OWN suspense in perfectly normal situations. cannot watch ice road truckers because of it. only watched ATJ long enough to finish this episode ... but now that we know he's the announcer ... we're done with that too.
he's an idiot. -
I didn't see the trucking one but after seeing the mining one I'm glad I didn't see it. that show is pathetic
-
I know a lady who runs the ice roads in Canada and she told me driving the ice roads is not hard or dangerous as the show ice road truckers is making it to be.
-
Nah, I can't handle the so-called reality shows..... to much BS. Why can't someone just bring back Hee-Haw?
-
You're right about that, My uncle and some other people I know also run the ice roads up here in Canada and it is not the dangerous glamorous job that hollywood makes it out to be. Hollywood can make anything look glamorous. Some of the other drivers who truck up to the Arctic don't like that show because it is an unrealisic depiction of what they do.
My uncle says that if you can handle the consant cracking of the ice, it is nothing at all to drive over the ice road. Years ago there used to be good money in doing it but not so much anymore
I am about sick of reality shows period. doesn't anybody have any imagination anymore to come up with a decent tv show to watch.
