Some friends of mine have a Chevy 3500 One Ton dually diesel with the Duramax engine and Allison transmission tow and plow package. We pull a 35 ft. enclosed car hauler to Civil War re-enactments with it. They started using Lucas in it this year and we saw an increase of fuel economy of about 2mpg. I personally haven't driven it so I can't comment on whether or not the power seems to have increased. The trailer itself weighs 3500 empty. Loaded it's probably closer 6500, plus another 800lbs that we load into the bed of the truck. All in all I think that pickup does good hitting 12 mpg loaded.

I dont think I have seen the Extreme, sounds good, though.I had a Dodge van that "lived on" Lucas every 300 miles for a while,it had a blown plenum gasket and sucked oil in the fuel.Fouled the plugs something fierce. The Lucas burned hot enough to defoul the plugs.Eventually ,dedicated a weekend and removed manifold and fixed it right. The best fuel cleaner I ever used was the pricey Royal Purple.Didnt seem to work at first, but after 3/4 of a tank ran thru my car, really noticed it.

Might as well give it a try. I highly doubt it could hurt anything. Im sure a bottle of lucas is cheaper than a 1/2hr of a mechanics billled time.

On a side note make sure you know that its lucas oil treatment. Shop guys get pretty pissy with you when you try explaining to them that you dumped a gallon of what you thought was perfectly good howes diesel treatment found in a truck stop garbage with cigarette butts floating around in it.
