Schneider is mean

I knew by the title this thread was going nowhere.

 

Mean LOL, I need more coffee for this..

 

They actually treated me really good as an IC when I was there a couple of years ago. I have nothing but good things to say about the giant orange blob.

 

That's because ic and company are two different animals completely.
Unless on the off chance that you unfortunately got an ICA that was a former DBL, then there might be some residual issues that you would need to correct.

 

And that may be the case, I don't know, I was never a company driver for them. I left at the end of '14 and still get calls from them from time to time to get me to return. I am plenty happy to drive a desk these days.

 

Yeah buddy its the same old same old however some transport companies are really starting to take notice that if you treat your workers with dignity and respect you'll actually get a good days work out of them. If drivers had to stop so would the whole country. Sometimes they just don't realize how valuable the transport industry is to the economy.

 

All mega companies suck in one way or another.

 

I think that a lot of times, if you don't have the means to get your cdl independently, then it comes down to picking the less of all the evils. Do megas often suck? Of course. But, you can still utilize them to get your cdl and some experience under your belt so that you can move into something that fits your situation better. Just my two cents.

 

Does schneider train tanker drivers? I want to haul fuel tankers since they get paid $100k/year

(I know schneider doesnt pay that but to get a start into tankers.) I have my hazmat, tanker, and doubles triples endorsement.
