Its hard,not a day doesn't go by where I dont think this is it especially when the nursing home called me almost everyday.Thank God none of the calls were serious.They just like to keep family members updated if something has changed.I look at my neighbor and dads closest friend who's the same age as dad and think to myself why cant dad be as heathy as her.She's helped me alot. the last month.

 

Sorry to hear of your problems with your dad. I kind of have with my mom, but she's 2300 miles away in Arizona.

She went into cardiac arrest last may, but by the grace of God, came through it. Not a day goes by that I don't worry.

I wish I could be out there with her, but the wife won't move. If I were to go, it would be by myself, and lead to divorce.

Anyway, wishing you and your dad the best.

 

I asked dad how he's feeling he said a hell of alot. Better.

 

Thank you very much.I am convinced hospitals make ppl sicker.They think medicine is the answer for everything.I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I entered dads hospital room yesterday..Nurse wanted to give him more drugs,I said stop ask dad what he wants.He took three out of five.Now hopefully today he's back to solid foods.He wants 2 eggs and bacon for brkfast when he gets up.

 

Eggs are the number 1 food for older folks . They become protein deficient.

I'm glad you took him home. Elderly folks develop an institutional type of dimensia.

That's why you here people say their parents didn't know them when they passed.

It's sad. I couldn't live with myself if I left him in a home.

 

I gave dad 4 pills which are the ones he always took then I said to dad we'll just tell the nurse to took them all,lol.

 

Nurse is coming this morni,g I asked her to take her shoes off When she gets here.I shampooed all the carpets And I wanna keep them clean for awhile anyway.
