Well, we just got the word, 14 isn't an option now, either. Apparently parts of it are closed as well, my coworker will be going Hwy 26 to Hwy 35 now. Go figure.
Thanks for all the info, folks.
Anyone familiar with Washington SR 14?

Wonderful. I am not doing 35. I have picked up apples at the top of that hill. It is a heck of a climb from the interstate to the top. If 84 isn't good yet there's no way I'm considering 35. It will be a chain up and pucker up for sure.

He's driving a 26' box truck, hopefully he'll have a little easier time than a truck and trailer.gokiddogo Thanks this.

Wait a minute.
Forgive my asking a silly question here, but it appears that the sign saying "13'6" is over the white line. That should mean it's possible for two trucks to pass each other in there.Dave_in_AZ, Lepton1 and JReding Thank this. -
That's the best picture I could find when I googled it, and it's also one of the higher tunnels. There's at least one with a side clearance of 13'2".
Also, if you look at the picture here, you'll notice a continual streak on the tunnel where trailer roof lines have rubbed all the way through the tunnel.Dave_in_AZ, MACK E-6 and double yellow Thank this. -
I"ve never taken that road. But you sure see a lot of semi's as if it's a secondary freeway.
JReding Thanks this. -
Is white pass closed too? I believe that is hwy 12. Turn right in Morton and go through Eatonville and you end up coming into Spanaway.JReding Thanks this.

I'm not sure about White Pass. He's doing a straight shot from Portland to Hood River, normally an hour each way. Wouldn't taking White Pass probably add several hours to the trip?

Yes it would but I thought from previous posts that you guys need to get to your destination no matter what. Maybe your company should invest in boats...Lol at least for the winters.JReding Thanks this.
