I wasn't really talking about the radio but the fallacies built up to sell them or make them.

I never noticed any difference and how any of them sound. Regardless of wattage they all sound the same if they're tuned properly and using the same microphone. A friend of mine can turn his station down to a quarter watt and sound the same as when he's at 10000 Watts.
I did notice that most of those radio sound like crap when they're supposedly tunes by the majority of so-called technicians out there in comparison to a stock Cobra 29 which sounds excellent right out of the box

Part of the so called tune a major part of any tune is setting the deadkey-carrier properly and the total watts the mosfets do to give the total wattage of that perticular radio......4 irf 520 mosfets do 25 to 28 watts apiece total of 112 watts max. 8 irf mosfets 224 watts max... that's all yer getting or should get for your $1.98. Anything more than that go ahead turn it up sooner or later you'll burn it up !!!!!!!!!

If you listen to a commercial broadcast station they might cut the power back by 80% at night at but the audio quality never changes between daytime and nighttime

Broadcast equipment is a completely different design, they can do that without creating distortion caused by over-driving their rf amp section of the rf deck.

The same laws of physics apply in my world as well though you may not have been privy to witness it.

I would say that's a totally different world. Definitely a superior piece of equipment compared to a lowly cb radio... all I'm saying is you'd really be surprised how badly these techs Jack up whack out a radio... they will turn it up and it'll burn itself up... perfect example heard a tech saying he turned up the deadkey to 40 watts on high on a 497 Stryker.... not if it's my radio your friggin not ... the crackerhead
