Yeah it doesn't seem like it'd be worth moving only to get stuck further down the road.
I'm never taking a load up here during the winter time again. I'm not getting paid to sit.MachoCyclone and Steel Tiger Thank this. -
Wow, im just looking at the I-84 closure and it closed in two places in Oregon. From teh state line west to Pendelton where it is snowpacked to heck and gone, and Hood River to Troutdale where it is a sheet of ice a few miles east of Troutdale. FYI it looks like most of the alternate routes are snowpacked as well, and US 12 is open but a complete mess. In Idaho, 84 is open but slick and iced in some areas heading into Utah. I-5 is closed to southbound North of Weed. Northbound open with chain law in effect. In Washington Snoqualmie is still closed and expected to remain so through tomorrow. Looking at the NWS forecast, it could be as long as Tuesday before its open. NWS shows 70% or better chance of snow through Monday night. However the amount of snow forecast slackens to a half inch on Saturday. But tonight and tomorrow are up to 3 inches...
Sorry drivers. -
Oregon brings this on themselves with their refusal to use proven safe deicing agents. Wonder how long till food and other necessary supplies start run short since all roads in are shut down for the foreseeable future
MachoCyclone and CannonballAA Thank this. -

I was finally able to deliver to Amazon. They even said that the Tyson loads are always screwed up every time. I was out for there in 15mins. Literally checked in, backed into the dock, pulled one pallet off the trailer and dropped it on the dock, got my paperwork, and was out of there.

90 and 84 are open......go go go go!!!

HURRAY FOR BAD FORECASTS!!! Oh yeah, Happy NOBAMA DAY!!!
Saturday Thanks this. -
84 and 90 open just as I get to CA from the 5. I'm gonna have to hand this load off to a team after which, I get to deliver their load to Colton. The no parking situation there has me nervous. No more 6 hour loading/unloading times. We are going to have to stand on their necks now.

I went to Bellingham, Wa to pickup my next load. They took about 4 hours. Made it to Stanfield, Or. Roads were clear and wet.
