There was a fellow a few weeks ago at GP saying he was
bumping up against $70K for the year .... i guess anything is possible :dontknow:

    ( i finished 2016 @ 98,000 miles )

New Trucks Coming according to Alan
at the company meeting ( all with automatics)
Toll Gadget in the works / Alan
Break Down pay in the works / Jesse
E Logs are being phased in and activated in more
and more trucks as time passes.
24 hours added to all the Load/Run times
Thats all i can add to the Poly thread for 2017

Have a good year folks :)

Last 5 months in semi beast mode
    August 11327 miles
    September 15389 miles
    October 12182 miles
    November 13145 miles
    December 14535 miles
    Total 66578 miles
    Extrapolated year miles 159787 miles.
Don't know if I will be able to reach that 160k miles number but going to give it a shot before the #### electronic logs hit.

As of 12-17-16 which only had 600 miles for that pay period, because I sat around waiting for a home load my ytd pay was
    $62,351 with 116260 miles driven.

We're on the same page when it comes to running lots of miles. I was just playing devil's advocate from the perspective of ELD constraints etc.

I hear ya, what's not to like choose how you want to take your home time, 100% match 401 up to 6%, pretty good benefits, not micromanaged, non forced disp. And local work available for the eager more times than not , so you don't completely lose a day waiting on the shop. Now if the new trucks are better than these intl's ... the 38 days a year i spent at GP last year might dwindle to 20. And that even if i don't get one. Maybe the shop gets a chance to actually have open bays for work beyond the typical pm.

It's very possible , if you know OJ, I'd be scocked if he wasn't making 70k. When he's not road he local. It a rare event him sitting all day in that driver room as I have many times. He's about taking advantage of what they offer, i applaud em. If I get the nerve block in my back , and my back doesn't play into it , maybe I won't be sitting as much either.

Since Poly is my first experience with per diem pay, I was shocked to find out that the 6% 401k match does not cover the per diem part of the paycheck. If I pull down 60k and 20k is per diem, then Poly only chips in 6% of 40k.

Poly pays us $63 a day were on the road for per diem not including days at a terminal. That would be a little less than $4 a day you're missing out on.

Poly pays hub miles and up to 10% out of Route miles. I've never had them say anything to me the couple times I went over 10%, but anyways my point is every load I take I'm always 50 to 150 miles over and that makes up for that stuff.

Also I've heard from someone I trust that we are getting a bump in cpm and will start getting breakdown and layover pay. He was told by Martin and said if he's lieing then Martin lied lol. The cpm from what Martin told him would go to 52cpm but some other drivers said they heard 53cpm. Don't know exactly when this happens but was told it's a done deal and we should be hearing something within the week. We will see, even though I trust the guy I will believe when I see it.
