I pull flatbed, and I am wondering if we will have a better year in 2017 . Just when I was thinking I will put my other truck on the road with a driver , but I am not sure of this market rate and truck to load ratio of 2016. Flatbed carriers, can I get your input?
I have had my authority since 2009.2016 was my worst year

It's getting better to pull every kind of trailer right now. Rates are (finally) going up. For proof see the market today vs the market a year ago. The first quarter of 2016 is literally the worst 3 months I've ever experienced in this business.

Every broker I talked to last year confirmed it was their worst year. Let's see, and I cross my fingers

The 2015-2016 produce seasons barely touched 3 bucks a mile instead of scraping up against 4 like they usually do. There was a lot of mid-low 2's on lanes to places that didn't suck. Unfortunately those same trucks were lucky to get 1.25 a mile coming back to produce country.
I know I shouldn't be rooting for this, but I hope enough people quit the business that we can have more demand than supply again.mp4694330 Thanks this. -
im not saying you dont know how to but it depends on where you are looking for loads and what your willing to haul

2016 was a rough year. I started on my own in late 2012. Every year was better than the last save for 2016. I am optimistic 2017 we will be on more solid ground again.
