OK found it as long as it is NA1350 and no UN1350 I should be good to go. I totally forgot I had a red book until someone mentioned it

Correct not sure why they want them but found this so I suppose it's a policy not law thing but allowed by law

if class 9 doesnt require a placard, Why would they make them.
I use Class 9 placards all the time -
That's legal to do as long as the ID number is representative of your cargo.
