I am a former driver at RT&T. I would NOT recommend this company unless you want to go broke and live less than a Swift driver. Life is good when you first get there, but after you have been there a while the freight goes down u9nless you are a kiss ###. The recruiter (first name S) makes a turd smell like a rose. All the old timers get all the good freight. When you ask for proof of freight rates (rate con). They make you come in and will only show what you ask for. But this is a modified rate con.

When I was there they did not give a fuel discount even though we the drivers paid for the fuel on a comdata card. They reaped all the benefits, just recently heard from a driver (late 2016) that they are getting half of the discount now and the company is stealing the other half and calling it managing fees.

If you errored on your paperwork ($5 fine) computer/logs (5$ fine) for everyone you done. No chance to correct the error, it would alert them and not the driver. Fine, fine and fine!

They were honest about the loan/lease (LB Leasing) amounts but with a crazy interest on the truck, I think it was almost 15%.

They wouldn't call it forced dispatch, but if you didn't refuse a load they would only take 20%. If you register a load they would take 25%.
    They had multiple entities:
    RT&T Enterprises - trucking company
    RT&T Logistics - brokerage
    LB Leasing - truck lease
Rock Farm Logistics - they bought out RT&T Logistics. So when the load paid good it would go through both logistic companies and then the trucking company too. Triple dip $$$.
RT&T Maintenence - initially was partnered between the Collins kids and Andy. Now I have heard Andy owns the shop now (Andy is a great, honest, highly respected mechanics shop).

I could go on more but I hope this is enough to make a decision on not leasing there. You have been warned.

I'm probably not putting my truck on there. I did get a bit scared after talking to a recruiter but I found a company close to home that pays better per mile and runs more miles. I just hoped with rt&t being smaller, and with their load board, they might be running more than what they are. There is way too much down time if you only turn 2000 miles a week.

I had also hoped to hear from drivers "I averaged 'x' miles and 'x' per mile, and grossed 'x' per week." If you are a business owner (and an o/o is) the numbers are the important thing. On a forum you never know how many of the people with bad experiences created those experiences for themselves by always being late, damaging freight, getting mouthy with office staff, being rude to shippers/receivers, etc.

I talked to them over the summer and literally bust out laughing when the recruiter told me if I worked hard, I could clear as much as $2,000. I even got offered an opportunity to deliver mattresses, full driver unload. He was really confused, but realized there wasn't a chance I was going to lease on.

Rates are way too cheap. I think I offended the recruiter when I laughed at what they were paying. He flat out told be top stay where I was they wouldn't be close.

I am going to do a lease purchase with RT&T on the 20th. I wish I knew if I am making the right decision, or not.
