I thought most Petes had the mirrors mounted to the cab? I could be wrong though.

Not always just can't remember when they started thatAModelCat Thanks this.

I think 05 Pete moved the mirrors off the doors.

Mark and drill. Peterbilt uses rivets afaik. The bottom sill is angled on the newer doors so you will have to twist the lower bracket to match. I would try put a piece inside the door to reinforce it.
377pete Thanks this. -
379s had them on the doors 389s moved them to the cab. There is several aftermarket companys making conversions to put the mirrors onto the cab on 379s. The mirrors on the doors over time bend the door out at the top and cause it to loose seal. Mirrors on the cab are much better.
That being said, mirrors are rivetet on, hold em in place and drill. How did the previous guy cover up the holes where the mirror used to be? If you remove the inner door panel you might see the old holes. -
My son has 2 379's both with factory mirrors on the cab not the doors.

I am going to mount them on the doors using rivnuts. Hope they stay on. Will post pic when i get them done
