If you get your cdl through a driving school try to go with a company that doesnt require a road test! If u dont pass you will be back to square one!

Road Test are required by the Feds. The results of a road test are one thing that has to be in an employees file.

Maybe he meant "hair follicle" test.

Werner didnt require a road test. They just asked for the truck driving school diploma. Although they did put me with a trainer for 4 weeks

Update: Jim Palmer will not take me because I have a hit and run from almost 5 years ago and an illegal u-turn ticket. I exchanged insurance with the people I hit and ran from, no charges or fines, or even points. I'm interested in TMC, Millis, and Swift. Are there any companies that are less stringent on your driving record? I have no violations or incidents for the past 3 years. I live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Millis cuts some slack; give them a try. You need some cash though $500.00 for fees & tuition. Don't know if they do hair follicle or not.
If cash is tight, try Celadon or Swift. There's also CRST. I'd try Celadon next.

Called Millis, told them my history, the recruiter, Peggy, was amazing. They check 5 years in the past but she hinted that if it wasn't a major incident (no convictions, fatalities) that it might be alright. She said it depends on the state when it comes to how far back check, she wasn't sure about Georgia. She sent me an email after a wonderful, professional call going over everything the program entails. I hope this works out, if anything I can go to Swift I suppose.

TMC is very picky about driving record etc. I don't actually know if they do an in-house hair follicle, I wasn't there long enough to find out. At the CME in Iowa we only did urine test. And they require $300 cash on your first day of class (although $150 is given back to you, $50 per week for 3 weeks).
