The only ones ive heard from other truckers so far that's even remotely close to what they promise is NTB Trucking. One of my buddies work there but doesn't really like it. Says he averages under a 1000 a week there at least. TMC guy sounds kinda promising at least Going from the positive reviews i read up on and he told me to actually go to the truck stops and talk to the actual drivers and see for myself.

Ahhh now That's more so what i wanted to hear. I've found a company that start me off at .38cpm with a additional .5cpm for every mile over 2200 a week and additional .3cpm during weekend runs. Said i could make around 52k plus or more a year with them so that sounds more believable then.Mike2633, Big Don, SingingWolf and 1 other person Thank this.

I was totally satisfied with the money this company paid. The ONLY bad thing about it, (if there really was a bad thing,) was the slip seating. But you could work it so that you only had to share with one other driver. So even that wasn't a problem. We knew each other, and didn't bother to strip the truck out when we were getting out of it, because we knew everything would still be there when we came back.

2000-2200 a week as an OTR driver? I feel like I'm seeing these figures more and more. How can the company and the driver make any money with these miles. I had a run that I did everyday that was 560 miles. It was M-F and was hourly as a local driver. That's 2800 miles a week. How are some local drivers averaging more than OTR companies???Pontimaniac and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
You're going to find out recruiters will say anything you wanna hear if that is what it takes for you to come drive for them.Only way you'll get a certain guaranteed pay is to get paid salary.A lot of drivers sit for hours to days waiting for a load.I think the average pay for new drivers is around $500.00 a week. OTR drivers probably get the shaft a lot more then regional and dedicated drivers do.

That makes me feel like i should stick with NTB then since i have a buddy that grosses around 1200$ a week on average with them. All these other companies I would be lucky to bring home that 500$ a week starting out with those miles.
Thanks. I emailed them now. Have a linehaul position open about 4hrs from home. Hopefully it's not a home daily account.SingingWolf Thanks this.
