Hello I have a 2005 freight-liner classic with a Detroit. The truck gets a check engine light that comes on when i hit the brakes but goes away when driving normal on interstate. I have changed the truck oil and everything cant seem to figure it out.

What's the fault code? You changed the truck oil and everything? Define "everything".

Which check engine light? Is it just an outline or solid yellow engine icon? Or does it say check engine or have a picture of a wrench in it?

could it be low coolant ? when braking coolant briefly loses contact with sensor?
