Thanks guys, I am financing through my bank. I have really good credit and the loan officer is a family friend. I have already financed and paid other things off so it wasn't a big deal.

I'll pm my own truck, pms aren't under warranty anyway. I have a 60x40 shop with 14ft garage doors. I can do most work myself. If it needs warrant work I'll take it to a kw dealer. As far as def filter, and all that other stuff I'll buy the parts and do it myself whenever it is needed
-
Yes Bruckner's Volvo of Albuquerque, Nm. I checked around and isx parts are just expensive. I have a good truck but I'm tired of messing with it. + I just want that kw lol

Right there answers your question. No need to second guess. You know in you heart what you want and that you can get it.......go for it brotha. You'll be alright.
I used to be a used car salesman.....let the hate begin, but I loved it. I still get people asking me if they got a good deal. My answer is always
Do you love the vehicle
Are you happy with the payments
If yes then you got a good deal
In this case, you want it. You can see yourself driving it. You've already bought it in your mind. You ran the numbers and know you can afford it. You've done your research. Pull tha trigga.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Ok your old truck cost you 40k last year, but it probably wont cost you 40k this year.
That new truck is guaranteed to cost you 40k minimum every year. -
The X15 is just an ISX with a Different name..

Just curious but if you have your own financing did you consider getting a glider?? The cost is about the same you can't go into cali with that 07. So I assume you could continue driving without a emissions truck and still get the four yr warranty

Speaking of glider kits, who would you guys buy from? I'm not sold on Fitzgerald. There is a place I think it's in Oregon called Kustom Truck or something like that. I told my buddy about them when he was working on a truck, and he talked to them and said they really seem to know their crap out there. They are pricey tho, I believe. But get whatcha pay for sometimes. Anyway after a lot of research, and to be honest I'm a Peterbilt guy, again let the hate start, but if I went glider kit route, I would go western star. From what I understand, they come pre-wired for engine and tranny that you are going to put in. They are not treated like a parts truck like Paccar does. I've heard the wiring harness on a Peterbilt and a Kenworth are a rats nest nightmare, and that is where a lot of issues come in. I've been told that western star trucks are plug and play. But please do your research and check for yourself.
The only reason I will not have a glider kit is because of the E logs. Otherwise I would probably have a new Lomax glider.cnsper Thanks this. -
You are correct. The Western Star is a more complete kit. I believe it explains it a little more on the web site for Hoover's Trucks. They also do gliders. Kustom makes the wiring harnesses for dang near all the gliders built. Even OEM purchase harnesses from them.LoJackDatHo Thanks this.
