Still get egr and some of the first egr nightmares.

Here's the problem: You buy a truck with an awesome motor, say a 2000 with the last of the 3406E's, it'll cost as much to maintain the rack as it would if you bought a newer truck with an EGR engine. Once a rack is 5 years old (a touch more if it was always loaded to protect it,) metal fatigue starts to rear it's ugly head, and the cracks will soon be propagating faster than you can weld them up!Pnwtrucker and Terry270 Thank this.
