If you have to ask, You already know the question.

I do believe that I made one of the worst decisions of my life with this. I went from a 2016 T680, to a rolling pile of junk. I'm not sure that going back local was really worth it. I know, I should have taken a leave of absence, or a few days off, and done a run with them to see what the truck was like, but I didn't. I have no one to blame but myself.
But now I'm backed into a corner that I just don't know that I can get out of. I've had too many trucking jobs, all in the name of attempting to please my family, so I've probably job hopped myself right out of the chance of ever again getting on with a decent carrier with good equipment.
Oh how I wish I could hit the rewind button...Lepton1 Thanks this. -
A clean record and a good work ethic is all you need keep close. The rest is timing.

Maybe you want to give yourself some time before making another moves, i have few drivers that were in your position and i have told them give it some times things will fall in place.....now they look back at it and they are happy with their moves.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I don't think I'm going to have a clean record for long driving this thing...

Only thing I could say is if it is not safe and legal tell whoever you have to that it is NOT safe and legal and that You cannot drive it until it is. If everything is as it should be and the truck is just beat to hell then it is something you're going to have to live with for a while. Just my 2 cents.Lepton1 and street beater Thank this.

This x2 what the vocal canine said is true. Just because its beat down, dont make it illegal. Just do a good pre trip, and cya.Lepton1, Blackshack46 and SingingWolf Thank this.

My truck is wore. I make sure the important stuff is ok and the rest? Wrench it on the fly.
Biggest difficulty I've had is dealing with older equipment again. But they do an ok job. It's hard in peak season to pull trucks.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I got off the highway running a shiny 2015 389 with big bunk and lots of power and chrome making $1500 cad take home a week for local job in a shop/summer time in a tri axle dump truck. I'm home every night, consistent pay(less than highway but I'm home). The little miss is happier too!
