If my day starts at 8pm and I close out my logbook at midnight how many more hours can i drive after midnight consecutively?

Your 14 will run out at 10:00 AM, your 11 when you reach 11 hours driving. Must stop driving after whichever one of those occurs first.

Midnight only matters for your logbook. For drive time, it's all consecutive. The only exception to that is time change, which is a totally different animal.

If you were to drive consecutively, It would be 7am BUT... You have pretrips, DOT breaks etc to add into this equation.

0730 would be the absolute earliest his 11hr clock would expire, simply taking the 30min break. 1000 is the latest he could drive, assuming he still have the 11hr clock to do so.
