Hello, I am a new cdl driver and I'm researching companies and have a few in mind and want some advice and information from first hand experienced drivers, here is my four companies,
Rohl, mercer, werner, and shaffer any advice on ANY OF these companies like miles you typically get weekly, does the company actually help there drivers or just leave them stranded if something goes wrong, are these good companies to run for or do I need to look for more options entirely? Looking for OTR options and maybe flatbed or option to change to flatbed or reefer if i want

Roehl is ok; shop around some more though.
    Do you have any endorsements?
Danny Herman Trucking - no northeast or New York City
West Side Transport - new cdl grads guaranteed minimum $900.00 weekly and can work up to $1100.00 weekly. Can make more, but not less.
Britton Transport - family friendly; take the family and no fee.
    J&R Schugel
Schuster - nations largest ice cream hauler.
    Freymiller
    Magnum Ltd.
    Tyson Foods
    Abilene Motor Express
    MCT Transportation

Get your endorsements ASAP. Hazmat and tanker at least.

Dozens of jobs out there for new grads. Submit lots of applications and take the best offer. Start the applications now; don't wait until graduation.
    Get the endorsements before graduation.

I was told not too because hazmat for example has to go through a federal jurisdictions and I will have to wait till I get my endorsement before I can get my cdl, and that could take a month or more pluss some companies pay for your endorsements

The school is giving you bad advice. Companies that require endorsements won't even consider your application if you don't have them. Some will offer you a job while you're still in school, but the job offer is good only if you have the endorsements at the time you graduate.
Some companies will pay for TWIC ID Card for the driver, but unless your going tankers you probably won't need that.
