I did that one a couple weeks ago. All 4 places are pretty quick.

Anyone gonna' comment on the msg from Chad about paid parking reimbursements yesterday? I will reserve my views and opinion since I am leaving, my comments wouldn't be relevant and would sound like a disgruntled dig.
gdyupgal Thanks this. -
Are they going to stop paying them? Too many drivers abusing the system?
-
By what the message said, it wasn't a reimbursable expense all along. I guess they've been paying us back out of the kindness of their heart. I've been using it more the last few months because my load plan appts. have been getting further apart, and by the time I get reloaded I am close to my 14 and the only thing left is pay parking. And with my average weekly pay, I dang sure can't afford to pay it out of my own pocket as often as I need it lately.

What areas of Michigan have you guys delivered to?
I know we have customers in Fowlerville, Paw Paw and Brighton.Last edited: Feb 9, 2017

Only area I've ever had to pay to park on a regular basis is Seattle. I hate paying to park. Messaged Chad about it and he said he'd cover that area with prior approval, as there's just plain nowhere else to park out there.
So yeah, probably drivers abusing the system. Parking in Flying J's reserved spots and then double dipping by turning in the receipt is what I suspect. Might also be why we now have to get a receipt when paying cash for a CAT ticket.
Only takes a few knuckleheads to ruin it for everybody. Hope he finds their ### and fires them.tallinthesaddle4life, gdyupgal, runningman0661 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Seattle, Ft. Worth, Tulsa, Chicagoland... 3 of the 4 are you-know-who's zone... A.K.A. my favorite dispatch buddy.
And how do you double-dip paid parking? The receipt has a time & date on it. If a driver is scanning it in twice, then the folks doing payroll need to be fired for not verifying receipts.
It's all water under the bridge at this point for me. I got my log info from last year, I am scheduled for hometime next week, and Nick is putting together what should be my last home time trips. Once I've done my taxes, and sent off my application...it should only be a few more weeks until I fly the friendly skies out of Fargo for the last time... So pay for parking or not pay for it...makes no difference to me. -
Use your Flying J points to reserve a spot, get a receipt from the friendly cashier, then add that on to the trip as an cash expense.
Now that I think about it, there's all sorts of crap I could have expensed out that way. Air hose, jumper cables, etc. Not really the right thing to do though, Magnum paid for those points. I always viewed it as just another perk.
Best of luck in your next gig, btw.Last edited: Feb 9, 2017
