There is a company that sells an italian made head that might be worth looking into, though the last person that checked was told that only 12 were initially sent to the states and they havent heard much more about them, I have heard excellent things about their B/C model heads.
One reason that you might have been getting the run around from ARP is that they made the head bolts for one specific person, and I believe he is the only one that they can be bought from.

Yes, I had them installed in the head. I also filled in the relief cuts between the cylinders. Oh sorry I misread you'd post. No I didn't cut the grove in the liners it isn't needed.
-
It is also known that with a factory cat liner machining the groove into it for the wire ring weakens them significantly and leads the the flange cracking. -
I guess 0.041" wire, and groove depth of 0.035" (0.006 above deck)? -

LoL, why would he give proprietary information out for a service he paid for?
The tub of material alone for filling the relief cuts is $500, they charge around $1000 to do all and their machine shop has the jig already made to ensure it is done properly each time.BoxCarKidd and Superhauler Thank this. -
BoxCarKidd Thanks this.

So can you say who is they or them that has done that for you? Never saw that done on a big cat.

Oxbow, Superhauler and BoxCarKidd Thank this.
