And the deer was a not at fault.
Like the guy said...keep trying.
But remember this ( I'm old and this online thing is new to me so excuse that part)...BUT REMEMBER THIS. YOU CAN DO IT TOO SLOW FOREVER & EVER; BUT YOU CAN ONLY IT ("TOO FAST") ONE TIME. ...If you had lived by that policy from the beginning...you would have any of those at faults on you...
Not to worry. You can't change the past nor predict the future; so you just do your part the best you can.
NEVER EVER let your dispatcher push you. Most of them are just punks outta college anyway.
Always slow and easy...better to get there late than not at all...
Take care and stay safe.bmovers and Loose Leaf Thank this. -
Let me guess.....your nickname is lucky

Would I be correct that this wreck in a ditch I had would be considered a non-dot reportable preventable?
There were no other vehicles involved and no damaged property. The cop never took my info, only assisted in getting a wrecker to come.
That means it won't be on my mvr?
Even so, job applications ask about accidents and if you were fired, assuming I'm honest about them, wouldn't they still get the same info even if they don't check my dac? -
This isn't bashing you but more or less the attitude.
Get over it, tell the truth. DO not worry about your MVR or anything else, what pops up, pops up.
Apply to any and all companies you find, even if you think they are horrible. Get back into the drivers seat and learn form the incident.
Coming here trying to justify or find answers may be ok but it may be what many will perceived that you're crying will just waste your time, you need to start applying.
Also as I tell my potential drivers, take a smith safety course, get the paper work to provide proof and use that on the apps.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
If a wrecker hooked to you, it is a DOT reportable accident.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I was fired 24 hours ago and I'm not even home yet. I posted this message for some advice and opinions as this is what the forum is for. As expected I got a lot of different answers lol but that's OK.
I'll be applying nonstop once I get home.
I will look into that Smith safety course thanksLast edited: Feb 11, 2017

I applied to a few dozen medium to large companies. Got about 10 no's. Even Swift called to say no.
But then I got a job offer from Carlisle Carriers. Home every weekend. Mostly real good reviews for them. Will likely say yes unless something else amazing comes in the next day or 2.bentstrider83 and DRAGON64 Thank this.
