Looking to get into trucking. Any advice helps.

Roehl Transport has regional and long haul jobs. They also have their own cdl school and "pay you $500.00 weekly to attend their school." Also provide meals and lodging.

UK, in all seriousness, have you thought about losing some weight? It might help you in the job search. The more fit you are, the more you'll be able to handle certain tasks. Also, once you get your CDL, add on some endorsements...it'll make you even more marketable. I also wouldnt worry about a seatbelt ticket. These companies are more worried about careless driving and DUI's.

 

Some companies will accept your cdl school physical so you don't have to take another physical. They will check blood pressure and urine drug test though.

Right on, brother. Definitely dont mean to preach about the weight...i could lose some lbs muhself, lol. I just know that some of these companies will put you theough an agility test, and you have to pass. Otherwise, youre SOL.

 

That's good information; I thought they required another physical.
Still check that website and get started on the sleep apnea routine. Trucking companies aren't playing games with that; trial lawyers love companies that don't stay on top of sleep apnea issues.
