OSP Safety Check Takes Truckers Off the Road

Oregon State Police took 11 percent of commercial truck drivers off the road for various safety concerns during a three-day inspection at the Klamath Falls port of entry station on Highway 97. Among those pulled, four were arrested for DUII and three cited for meth possession.
The inspection ended at midnight Thursday, just 8 hours after a trucker ran over and killed a fellow trucker at the Siskiyou Pass. Police later arrested 54-year-old Daniel Clarey on charges of criminally negligent homicide, meth possession, and driving under the influence of drugs. (READ FULL STORY)

My hubby and I were pulled into the Woodburn OR scales and used for guinea pigs in order to train the officers that were going to be at the Klamath Scales! Gotta say, that was the most pleasant time I have ever had stuck at the scalehouse! One silly girl asked hubby to blow the horn... and had her head resting on the nose of the truck! LOL! We ended up with 2 very minor "fix-its" on the truck, but that was it... truth be known, it was a bad case of "and a good time was had by all!"

Glad to hear they got some bad guys off the road, before they could injure someone else. Too bad they didn't find the guy who killed the other truck driver before he left another family grieving. I guess al in all it wasn't a good day for some...
