I don't know. The hood seems to be the only piece of plastic that isn't cracked. My next big project is building new doors out of aluminum, so I don't have to hear the screaming banshees from hell in Wyoming.

I got it at LKQ Heavy Truck out of Spokane, WA. Installation and painting the headlight strip and repairing other damage from the parking lot hit and run, that was at City Paint Works in OKC.

Dye Guardian, PeteyFixAll and MJ1657 Thank this.

Did you get any info for the driver who hit you or were you just left holding the bill for that?

    4mer trucker, MJ1657 and Lepton1 Thank this.

It was during an ice storm in OKC. I never felt a thing. The truck was rocking from wind gusts and the blow was glancing.

The difference in cost to install the stainless bumper versus the three piece plastic was only an additional $500. That's a no brainier. No chance this bumper will start cracking and falling apart from off road vibrations.

    Good call.

The company I'm leased to has a fleet of company trucks. All midroof Volvos. They have recently started putting bumpers on them instead of replacing the plastic. Much more durable and look better as well. Oilfield truckin' is not kind to that plastic.

Do you older guys remember when the T2000 first came out?

It was the late 90's so calling anything a 2000 seemed so futuristic . . .
