Any chance of getting loaded early?

 

Not home yet. Jeremy surprised me with a 450-500 mile run to within 60 miles of home. So instead of deadheading 350 miles free (and costing the company money) and getting home 2 days early, I get to make a little extra and get home exactly on the day requested.. Given my "out of area" location, I couldn't ask for anything better.

 

Do you guys not get paid empty miles?

 

We get paid the same empty or loaded. What SSB is talking about is he would of only gotten paid to the place of his delivery, so if it was 350 miles from his house he wouldn't be paid for those miles so he could go on his home time. You are paid from your home time location to your pickup after coming off home time however.

About 300-ish more miles. Ends on Tuesday instead of Monday and has 4 drops. I guess a lot of people aren't fans of multidrops, but with the extra miles and drop pay I'll be richer than I was originally gonna be by Tuesday so I don't mind them. Plus I'm getting rid of this "rude" carrier unit that likes to wake me up. Plus I like NC more than PA
