Like I mentioned in an earlier post I know the city of Detroit very well downtown through the hood and out to the suburbs. What you have to remember about parking in Detroit just like most cities I'm sure but I can only truthfully speak of Detroit. There is two types of parking. There's safe parking this is where you find a place on a street or a parking lot that you can feel secure and safe bed down for the night and when you wake in the morning all's good just the way you left things. Then there's good parking. Good parking is quite different than safe parking but with a greater payoff for the parky. This is where you make sure all your insurance payments are up-to-date your Tabs are good and you are the sole owner of the vehicle. With good parking the question you have to ask yourself is not where do I park it's when do I park? Once you have that figured out go ahead and Park maybe go for a quick jog around the block or take a walk down to one of the few Starbucks that are in downtown Detroit or maybe just go down to the scenic River Walk and Walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the view of Windsor directly across the river give it about 15 or 20 minutes and head back to the vicinity where you just found your good parking space. If your vehicle is no longer there you've done things correct place your urgent phone call to Detroit finest but be prepared to wait Detroit's finest are not always quick to respond to any situation even 187. You'll have plenty of time to contact your insurance company and just make sure that you have all your paperwork.Wink wink this is the difference between safe parking and good parking only in Detroit that I know of

Hell......... I suppos to someone somewhere it probably is. I was just kind of have truthfully joking around. But I do know of a couple of streets just off the beaten path of the heart of downtown that if you want something to disappear if you park it on one of these two streets it will disappear in a matter of moments. I had a buddy that went through I believe it was 6 or 7 different Harleys in one riding season he said his insurance provider didn't catch on but there's no way that someone can claim 7 Different Bikes on 7 different dates all belonging to the same a guy I'll just happen to get stolen. But he did it. He had a pretty good deal going he actually had a phone number to a guy that he had never met and he would call this guy and tell him what he had and this guy would tell him when and where to go so he could make his insurance claim....Wink wink..............
I went with him one time to do this because he needed a ride home. Pretty good little scheme going I love Detroit -
