Progressive....
Although they will not sign insurance for a new authority, they still gave me a quote.
$ 8931.96 a year with 20% down = $1825.46. And $794.60 monthly. Or pay 100% up front for $7601.58 which saves about $1300.
But, he also stated if he wrote it up once my #'s came through the system I would be cancelled because of the new system they have.
Sad since I have 0 accidents in 30 yrs, 0 tickets or violations in 8+ yrs and great credit score. Others have quoted with price around $12,000 yearly.
First Guard told me they only insure lease operators.
Started driving in 1987 with a 1973 K100 so it's not like I have never been in a truck lol. -
I been trying to get quotes for new entrant insurance since the new year. progressive has been a no 2 times. I got a quote from acuity for really high and i finally got a quote from northland for almost 13k after a week of waiting. lol. It has been frustrating to say the least. I have called agent that say oh yea we can get you covered then 2-3 days later come back with oh sorry we cant. lol. Is there any other good a rated places to call. I'm in Ky.

TBS was the cheapest I got.
And there was an almost $5K difference between them & the high number.
You can make a lot of phone calls for $5K. -
Is it even harder to get insured when everything is new, meaning;
New LLC
New authority ? -
Anybody had any luck? All I have gotten so far is Berkshire Hathaway needs 6 months experience and I don't have that yet and Progressive is not writing right now. One agent told me they will start back writing March 29 but I haven't heard that from anybody else. I'm in SC

I have no experience with them tho.... -
Not sure where you live but I have been working with Thomas Wilson Group and they have found some very reasonable rates as a new entrant. Between 14-15k for everything. I have been researching this same thing. No matter where you shop it's really high for new guys.
