Truck Service Schedules and Rant

Swift is the same. Have to wait in prequall line to let shop what needs to be done. If i was you, i would have waited then tell shop you are going home and when i be back. Might have save some time.

 

I write a report and then buy some cookies at the grocery store and send those into the shop. Usually they fix what ever is wrong with the truck. Got a new bumper out of it so I can't complain. Although our shop can be a tad slow sometimes and the service a bit iffy. Last time I had my truck fixed they sent it to the dealer and I drove a spare for a month and a half.

 

When I was with Schneider, I just talk to the mechanic and drop it in the front and go home....

Then when I come back, go searching for my truck

 

The rest of the industry is nothing like Knight. Don't be discouraged, it's all uphill after Knight

 

I'd be looking for a job or knight would be having warranty issues from lack of service .
No way I'd donate my time when I'm home .
I keep the sob clean and write it up when it needs work , the rest is up to the owner .

 

If it was worse then I would have said it was all downhill from Knight. Knights a trucking school, not an employer.

 

Still hauling them stumps? Or driving a cab now? Always salty on knight even though it's been over a decade since they took your keys.
