Want to install a fuel pressure gauge on my MXS C15. Was looking for a picture or a description of the best spot to t in for the gauge. Was planning on setting it up that I could just occasionally check it and leave it coiled up under the hood the rest of the time. Any recommendations on a decent guage to use?

    TIA

Just screw the gauge right into the port on the filter base if that is all you want to do. But make sure you use a snubber fitting, it will take the pulsating of the fuel pressure from screwing up the gauge. If you want to mount one inside cab go with a electric gauge. That way it won't spray fuel all over the inside of your dash like a manual will when they spring a leak!!

I've got a genuine CAT one in the cab of my KW. It's got Aeroquip hose running from the filter. Factory fitted, on my 2nd gauge because after many years the 1st one had a small internal leak. IMG_4024.JPG

I installed an AutoMeter 4363 electrical fuel psi gauge. The sender goes in the fuel filter head where the factory gauge port is (rubber cap over it). Unscrew the factory gauge port and install a 3/8 ORB to 1/8 NPT adapter. Screw the sender into the adapter.

Does anyone have a picture of where the factory guage port is?

Remove this port from your filter head... location circled in red in the other pic.

Or alternatively, if there is room above, remove the Allen head plug circled in blue. I didn't have room above the one circled in blue without hitting the coolant pipe for the compressor. Yours may be different but either location will work.

Superhauler since your here, what kind of pressure are you looking for at idle and going down the road when hooked up to the fuel port? I am thinking of doing this for my MXS and run electric gauge in cab like lilillill did.

I have mine set at 80 at low idle and 105 at high rpm.
