I would be willing to unload within reason and if the customers aren't a pain to get into. I see guys doing that for Mclane at gas stations and it looks like it would be annoying get in some of those places. The inside of these trailers always look like disorganized chaos to me to and I'm not sure if they have to sort the stuff while doing runs.

My other concern is if these places have a realistic schedule that accounts for time to unload and get through traffic all while following HOS.

Two drivers in the truck; no problem with HOS.
Blue Line Foodservice is another one. I think maybe they merged with some other outfit, but not sure. Little Caesar's Pizza is one of their big customers.

Is teaming standard for food service? Being paired with a random person in the cab is a turnoff.

I was with Marten and was solo. I was OTR. I believe the team food service speak of is the local deliveries. I delivered to Burger King at night with a guy but we only worked 3 nights a week.

I can't believe that you would post such a negative reply to someone excited about driving a truck.
It sounds like you are the one unhappy and really needs to consider another line of work.
It's just like any job, you get out what you put in.
I'm not saying dispatchers, companies, and others don't lie, don't bend or stretch the truth, but not everyone is as unhappy as you.
I have good days and bad days, but the good far out weigh the bad, and the bad gives me a chance to learn something.
Maybe instead of badgering this new comer, you should use your experience to help educate him, so he doesn't make the same stupid mistakes that you apparently have been riddled with.
Either way, if you can't be more positive, then I suggest you find another career and keep your mouth shut.
