Hey guys, I have 2 years experience 9 months flatbed. I live at 38357 Which is about 2 hours east of Memphis TN, I'm on the southern tip of TN. Looking for a flatbed company that pays percentage, but will consider mileage. Preferably a company that deals little or not at all with sheetrock or cheap loads that require lumber tarps. I've been prequalified with BTC, just seeing what else I may be missing. Any advice would be great.

I don't know about that now!
I'd look at Lone Star Transportation based in Ft. Worth,TX.flatdog trucking Thanks this. -
Wow. Couldn't ask for a better location. On i55 and the Mississippi. Everyone runs through Memphis. Company driver? Got any felonies? If you have a perfectly clean record and want to really hit the road, try ATS...just don't let them talk you into doing a lease. But you will have to be able to run Canada. And Canada won't let you in if you have any felonies or child support. If you want to stay in the South, try LoneStar or Brewton Express. You can run between Pennsylvania and Laredo with Pennsylvania Garbage Truck (PGT). If freight picks up a bit, I would suggest Keen transport (there's a Cat plant in LittleRock and so Keen should have a terminal there.)
None of these companies are stick and brick haulers, so that should make things a bit more challenging.Airborne Thanks this. -
I do not know for sure if you are in the hiring area. But I'm really happy in the flatbed division of Britton Transport. Have loaded in Memphis twice in the last few weeks. Never had a drywall load. Most of the time, lumber loads are just to get us back from Canada or something. I'm in Forest, Va right now. Picked up no tarp utility lifts on a preloaded trailer in Watertown, SD. Deliver here tomorrow morning. Is mileage pay though....you should start around 43cpm with your experience. Thats before all bonuses.

What's so bad about sheetrock, sticks n bricks? I'm thinking about going with a company that are mainly those.
Great mile pay, pore tarp pay. -
-
It's not, this company sounds good but the tarp deal.
Starts at .47cpm and the say they shippers and receivers do most tarp work. Only bad is: low weekly miles.
I don't like twiddling my thumbs. -
