whew ... you're gettin serious .. what's next, a gamer pc built by @x1Heavy ?

 

No. I don't intend to go commerical. It is satisfaction enough to build a powerful machine and game on it successfully within reason for a number of years. The next one I build will likely be my last as they approach 10,000 dollars in cost at full retail in parts and it's getting to where there is no point in building them in a land of cell phones and tablets that increase in power to exceed what we had 15 years ago in top of line PC's And what's coming in terms of optical drives, magnetic ram (The theory is on a power off state your machine will instantly restore to whatever it was you were doing the moment you lost power; because the ram would be frozen in it's state by magnetic power which would be whatever task your machine was doing when power quit) and potentially wireless transfer of data which might potentially completely dispose of a motherboard, all cabling etc... inside a shielded case it would be a bright future.

 

Lets not forget us children on consoles

 

This 50 plus year old child is taking another look at the consoles. Especially since they have sufficiently become PC's in their right. As a child I played 2600 ataris where I was able to to conserve the quarters back in the day and put the games away when I got into trucking. But Consoles have gotten pretty #### good if you ask me. I would not mind having another go on the things.

 

My wife's hard drive failed today and she had been wanting a laptop for her next pc. Might give her this laptop and get a better one more suited for gaming. But my computer knowledge is very lacking.
