It worked great for 2 days then the compressor got warm and it made the inverter hot. If it didn't like the power why work for 2 days? I'm going to run an extension in from the truck for the night tonight and see what happens

Everything else works great, the fridge worked great for 2 days then capped the bed? Seems to work fine at home. When I get back I'm going to plug it into the truck and see what happens. It may just be the Danby fridge doesn't like to bouncing around.

that is the same one that i have in my truck, been going strong almost a year now.

prior to that i had one that was virtually the same other than brand lasted only a few months. then started drawing a whole lot of juice and started tripping the inverter off.

Works great plugged into the inverter. I assume it just doesn't like running down the road. I picked up a used truckfridge refrigerator from the junkyard today. I got all the mounts and such to put it in the cabinet do I'm going with that I guess.

Hi, I have went through 2 fridges in less than a year. The first was a Haier and this one is a Hisense. I have a 3000 watt inverter. The first one poured water everywhere when it went out, the second one (current one) just stopped cooling. I'm thinking the coolant leaked out somehow. The only differences I see between what I do and how your set up is..is the fact that you have a name brand fridge, yours is sitting on a piece of rubber and also sounds like yours isn't strapped really tight. Does those things make that big of a difference? I currently have my strapped extremely tight and sittin on the plastic place made for fridges in my truck. Thank you for any help you can give me. I am so tired of my food spoiling and being stuck without a fridge. I know the roads are extremely rough and I'm starting to wonder if a fridge is even possible.

Makes a BIG difference... remember that the fridge is not made for the vibration of a moving truck so you need to cut the vibration down...

If you have it on something hard and have it straped tight the fridge can't move so all the vibration is transferred to the motor/compreser and coolest tubes. None of which are made to take the vibration

Using a rubber mat/pad under it will cut down on the bouncing every time you hit a bump/pothole.

Yes sir thats exactly what im going to do! I travel I16 in Ga a lot and 285 in Atlanta and those roads r HELL! I had these fridges strapped so tight u cant budge em! After seeing this thread thats most likely what killed em. Not to mention they were also sitting directly on the floor. I will definetely update u on the results once I fix it as u have instructed.
