Indeed. Caught an overweight beer load with that scale. The trailer broke on my way back to them to rework it

2 convenience stores in walking distance, and a couple of fast food joints serving the usual. no scale no fuel.

 

Dunno if I would trust the accuracy. Or is it a cat scale?

 

It's a CAT Scale. There is a lot of industry in that area (steel and retail). Parking is a must in that area, it'a dump but at least its off the highway.

 

I used to park there all the time when I drove for Crete, there were enough options nearby and the people in the shack-store were nice. That was before they started extorting oops I mean charging for parking. I quit Crete a couple months later and now work for a private fleet with a plant in Sharonville that I can park at any time.

 

It took me a moment to remember this place but yeah, as I recall it is a pretty crude place. I have certainly seen worse though. It is a good place to stop and scale. I used to haul a lot of paper in and around that area with roehl, so they got plenty of business from me.
