I hope thats what you pay your accountant for the year. lol. I like to do most the maintenance on my stuff myself. Truck and trailer. Always have. I like to know my trucks, or any of my equipment and I dont trust most mechanics. Thats a whole different story. lol. I like these guys idea about diversification. If you have a full deck you could haul anything that pays more. You never know where a opportunity might come from.

Same here, we do all our own maintenance and most small repair's. We used to do all the repairs once upon a time, engine rebuilds, trans swaps, clutch changes, etc, you name it, but with time comes aging, near-sight goes, and the boys grow up and are gone. I farm out much of the extensive repair work now. Finding a knowledgeable and competent mechanic is a must, as there is no shortage of "hammer & chisel" guys out there....
