Didn't know it was "only" $186. Don't know what the company would say though or if it's true that you don't get points for it. My main concern was getting put OOS at a scale and having to get another truck sent out to take a pallet or two off. I'm sure that wouldn't go over well.

You're asking what should you do now, it's a little too late for that, no? Slide 'em back 2 holes and don't worry about it. Either that, have your company hire someone along the way to re-work the load.

The cop said it counts as a "mechanical". No points. -
Several years ago at Cottonwood in California I got pulled in for 750lbs over on the tandems, I was at 40'.
The freight was 25lb bags of sugar. The officer took my license and said I had to have the load re-worked.
So, I parked in the back, dropped the trailer, pulled along side the back of the open trailer and tossed 30 bags of sugar into my bunk through the big side vent door on the Cascadia I was driving at the time.
Hooked it back up, drove back onto the scale, got a green light, went in and got my license and the officer said, "have a nice day."insertnamehere, LandslideRich, DoneYourWay and 4 others Thank this. -
Someone agreed with me on the CSA in another box, but $186 with hundreds of lost miles and your company spending fat egg roll is the thing right now. Guys were asking how you're looking on your other axles. Sometimes I will read the reviews of a scale on the Trucker Path app. If in the last 21 days or so people are saying omg omaiga then I have a different idea then if the the remarks like nbh nbh pout bypass zzzz. Don't know how many scales you have to go through, how much jumpsuit and boots intensity they are feeling, or if there are roads around them; but I do know you're a smart person and will make a good decision.

Lmao beautifulLepton1, FullMetalJacket and JC1971 Thank this. -
Last year in Oregon I got popped for 1,500 lbs over. I paid a reduced $75 fine to the state and no points or violations were accessed on my record. The officer said it was up to me if I wanted to keep rolling or not. I was only a few miles from home and took one unit of lumber off the back and stacked in my driveway and dealt with it later.
Rubicon Thanks this. -

Illegal is illegal....period.
If you run with that load this time and all parties involved are aware, they may be inclined to push you to do it again at some future point.
Set your standards correctly and stick to it. Don't do it.MachoCyclone, tlalokay, JC1971 and 1 other person Thank this. -
