Notice I didn't say they didn't have the ability to measure speed, they can, just not with the weight in motion scale.
I'm well aware of what WA has at their fingertips, and that doesn't include break heat sensors (yeah, I'm talking to YOU Montana...).
As you say they have a pretty good idea of wheel separation, which WA needs to calc bridge formula. CA may have a similar system (probably does) what is the precision...... and are they going to let their coffee get cold to measure a truck that looks right?

JC1971, what's the load? Small enough that you can shift some forwards?? Just gotta get an okie-doke from dispatch to break the seal.
-
Might be worth a shot to get going forward and hit the brakes hard. Depending on what you're hauling though, but you did pick it up already sealed from ####### McGee so just blame the damages on him. Maybe he'll learn to start giving a #### about the other drivers that have to deal with his mess.
While we're telling overweight stories in Cali...I got stopped at San Bernardino and was around 1,500 over on the trailer(produce loaded to the doors). They let me rework it and reweigh 2 times all without a citation or overweight notation on the inspection report. I had to move 1.5 pallets forward(restacked) and was paid for my time by my company. I also did the trick that someone was talking about earlier about holding the tape and inching closer as they get further away. Bought a few inches that way(lol) but probably didn't matter since the bridge was good anyway.
Also, funny thing about the scale. I was inside waiting for them to print everything out and noticed a bullet hole in the tinted glass. I asked what happened and the guy says "they don't like us here". Hmmm -
So how did this end up? Been about 4 days, hopefully he's not still sitting in AZ
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Bonus, that stuff kept me from getting blown over in Wyoming.
"The word it’s is always short for ‘it is’ (as in it's raining), or in informal speech, for ‘it has’ (as in it's got six legs).
The word its means ‘belonging to it’ (as in hold its head still while I jump on its back). It is a possessive pronoun like his."Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

It's going to be a ticket. I would not worry about OOS unless you have something outrageous going on.
If you don't have a sealed trailer get in there and move 700 pound forward. Or go back to shipper and have him take off a pallet. -
After sitting from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning I messaged dispatch and asked him to get me another load if customer didn't E-mail back soon (food product so needed customer permission to break seal to get rework). Not to much longer received message to drop load at terminal and got new load. Did a reset right before my hometime. FN BS.
